Talladan and Mira

Made these with the Tudor Maker on dolldivine.com. Just like the pic of Andriel and Tallas [link] these two are wearing their dress clothes for Aragorn's coronation ceremony.

These two are Andriel's and Tallas's parents. Talladan is one of the Dunedain Rangers, and a friend and colleague of Aragorn's. Although he is committed to his duty in the North, Talladan is an avid explorer, always eager to venture into unknown territory. He keeps a collection of maps, some of which are of the night sky. His use of the stars to help him navigate earned him the name "Gilrandir" by Elrond's sons, and "that old stargazer" by Saradoc Brandybuck of Buckland.

The color and pattern of his shirt are intentional; I wanted the white specks on black to reflect his interest in the stars.

(As a side note, I just realized that his hairstyle reminds me of Jurgen Prochnow/Duke Leto Atreides from David Lynch's Dune. That was not intentional!)

Talladan is pictured with his beautiful wife Mira, a half-Easterling woman from Ithilien. While Talladan was returning from relaying a message to Gondor, he met Mira and her family trying to flee from bounty hunters sent from Rhun, her father's homeland. Mira, her mother, aunt, and two little cousins were ordered to leave their current residence in Osgiliath by her uncle, who was one of the Ithilien Rangers. He had found out that Easterlings from Rhun were sending advance scouts into Gondor to find weaknesses in its cities' defenses. Along the way, the scouts found out that a few of their people had defected to Gondor, and settled there. Easterling leaders began to send out bounty hunters to do away with them. Mira and her family were fleeing west, hoping to find refuge in Rohan or Enedwaith. Talladan offered to help them to safety. Along the way, he and Mira fell in love. The Rangers of the North provided Mira's family with sanctuary at one of their outposts. Talladan continued to court Mira, and they soon married. Tallas was born a year later, and Andriel three years after.
